Happy Father's Day!

"Let me tell you a secret about a father's love. A secret that my daddy said was just between us.
Daddy's don't just love their children every now and then, it's a love without end, amen"

We love all our daddy's, grandpa's and great grandpa's.

Summer = Swimming

I had to have Jon come swimming with us yesterday so that he could capture on video just how good Lilly is doing. We have not yet done any swim lessons, but I would say she is ready. She loves her floaty, but likes to "swim" with mom's help just as much. She really has the hang of kicking her legs and paddling with her arms. I know I said this last year, but for me it's just not summer if you are not in the pool everyday. We love it!

BIG GIRL BED!!!

We moved our "guest" bed into Lilly's room a couple of weeks ago. We found some cute bedding and it is now officially Lilly's BIG girl bed, emphasis on BIG. She loves it, she has a little stool to help her get up. She hasn't mastered getting down which is fine with me, that way we don't have a night-time wanderer. She has been taking her naps in the bed for the last two weeks and loves it so we decided to give it a shot at night. She has slept two nights in the bed and slept great (which is a big deal for our little night owl). I am so excited, but I just hope this trend continues!!! And in a few weeks we will be able to get started on the babies room, YAY!!

Two Cute!

Went to the doctor for a checkup. Here are Lilly's stats:
26 lbs = 45%
33.75in. tall = 50%
The doctor said she is growing nicely and we can take her off whole milk and move to 2%.
Here are Lilly's loves at 2:
Still lovin' the blanket and binkie (only for night night)
Babies...both real and dolls
Dancing and dresses (such a girly girl)
Ranch dressing...she could eat it with a spoon (makes me gag)
Apples but they must be whole and she has to hold it for about an hour or until it turns completely brown and the whole time I'm freaking out about her choking.
Helping mom cook (really just making toast and sandwiches)
Playing Hide and Seek
Playing Tag or getting chased
Favorite movies of the moment include: Bolt, Happy Feet, and Jungle Book
Favorite songs: Rockstar by Pink, Poker Face by Lady Gaga
Still loves to swim and swing
I am sure there is more but these are the things that really stand out right now.

Lilly's Big Day

We had a great time celebrating Lilly's birthday yesterday. Dad was home for the afternoon so we started things off at Johnny Rockets for some ranch with french fries and chocolate shakes. Lilly loves that restaurant because the waiters dance. Then we headed to the splash pad for more fun. After about an hour of that and a trip to the puppy store we went home to open presents and eat cupcakes. It was a great day full of all the things Lilly loves, we all had fun.

Here's Lilly "helping" mom with the cupcakes.

We couldn't resist giving her one after she waited so patiently

Here we are at Johnny Rockets. "Lilly do you want any fries with your ranch?"

Yay! Lilly loves to SPLASH!!!

Lilly really took opening her presents seriously this year.

She got her 1st Barbie...she thinks its Arial from Little Mermaid

And finally one more cupcake washed down with some cold milk...the best way to end any day!

Woo Hoo Lilly is TWO!!!

Hard to believe that it has been two years since we became parents. I've always been told to enjoy every little bit of every little stage because it goes by so fast and now I know it really does. I think I did a pretty good job of that this year. So from 1 year old to two...

we swam all summer, mommy and Lilly are little tan fishies...we survived a long plane ride and had a wonderful time in Hawaii...we were the hit of Halloween as Super Woman!!!...we got super attatched to a blankie and binkie...survived being pushed around at nursery...became the Little Momma to five baby dolls (she takes her job very seriously)...started doing sign language a lot and talking a little... had her 1st ear infection...mom dislocated her elbow...fell down the stair and made mom and dad so worried by limping for a week...threw lots of tantrums...spent some time in TIMEOUT...grew 6 INCHES of hair (seriously)...and grew up into the cutest little girl mom and dad could have ever dreamed of.

We love you Silly Lilly...you make our days brighter and our hearts happy.

Happy Birthday!!
