Wisconsin!!!

Our much anticipated trip to cooler weather! I told all of my brothers that the only thing I wanted for my 30th birthday a couple of months ago was for all of them to join me in Milwaukee for the 4th of July. We had a great time!! It was the 1st time in over 3 years that we have all been home at the same time. Lilly has loved getting to know her crazy uncles better. We have had beautiful weather the whole time which is totally unheard of in Wisc.
Lilly did great on the plane, she was asleep by the time we were in the air and slept for half the flight. She loved having her own seat, like a big girl.
Grandma got out and washed all our old toys for Lilly to play with. It was so fun to see her jamming out on my old piano and wearing my little apron.
The first half of our trip was spent at my parents cabin up north in Door County. It's a cute little cabin in the middle of tons of woods just across the street from the Million dollar homes on Lake Michigan. We had a great time up there. They even have two fire pits and a little camp ground on thier property where my brothers set up there tent and slept while we were there. Lilly loved hiking around on all the paths in the woods.
We went up the road to a beach while at my parents cabin and Lilly got to experience the frigid waters of Lake Michigan. She could have cared less about how cold it was, but Jon was freezing!!
She helped Grandma water her gardens in her pajamas every morning that we were there. She loved all of Grandma's flowers.
The Fourth of July was fun. It was the hottest day we had there (88degrees). We went to the Egg Harbor Parade and Lilly learned super fast that the stuff people were throwing at her from the floats was candy. Then the guys went golfing in the afternoon at a beautiful coarse up there.
When they returned we had sparklers and smores around the camp fire. We were giving Lilly wheel barrow rides all day through the woods and decided it was perfect for the camp fire so she would be to temped to jump into the flames. She liked it for a while and then the smoke was bothering her so we turned in early.
We then said goodbye to Uncle Zach who flew out of Green Bay and headed back down to my parents house in Milwaukee. Daddy left us the next day and we were pretty sad. So we filled our days with fun things so we wouldn't miss him too much.
We went to the Milwuakee County Zoo, it's awesome, way better than our Zoo out here. Lilly loved loved loved the monkeys. She got to ride the train and loved that too.
We spent some time at my favorite beach Doctors Park. It is a beautiful walk down to the beach and then the water is just gorgeous. Lilly had fun helping me look for sea glass and drawing in the sand with our sticks.
We met up with one of my best friends from growing up in Wisconsin and her little family. Lilly had a blast with her girls.
The rest of our time was spent just enjoying being together with family. It was so great to watch Lilly enjoy getting to know her Uncles better. They were so cute with her. There may not be a ton of pics of Uncle Colby with Lilly but he was a great substitute for Daddy and spent so much time helping me with Lilly. There also isn't a picture of Lilly's favorite "person" Charlie. We have decided that my parents dog is really just a hairy two year old. He and Lilly we hooked at the hip. He would bring her his ball and she would throw it for him and then crack up as he scampered off to get it, they loved popping bubbles together and Lilly loved giving Charlie his "snacks". So cute!
We were sad to go, but oh so happy to return to our main man!!! We missed daddy a lot. When we got home the house was clean, the cars were clean, the laundry was done (I think he missed us too)
One more thing...baby brother is growing like crazy. His kicks are getting harder. He loved to kick sister when mommy picks her up and daddy can even feel this strong little guy. Now that vacation is over its on to Operation Get Ready for Baby!!!
