The Hague Plague

Not too many things rhyme with our last name but plague does. it seems this February we have had a bit of a plague come over our house. Runny noses, barking coughs, itching eyes, feverish foreheads, sore throats and infected ears. That's whats been going around. I have yet to come up with a way to keep the whole family from getting sick. Maybe when the kids are older it will be easier to quarantine them but for now we are all sharing this bug...it seems to be the only sharing going on at our house ;) Funny thing about being sick, I try like the dickens to not give into it. I don't take medicine unless absolutely necessary and just go about business as usual (or at least I try) This is also the case for Lilly. It is very hard to tell when she is feeling sick. She still likes to laugh and play while she is sick and this was the case even when she was and infant. She's a trooper and just wants to have fun no matter what. Now onto my analysis of the boys in the household (I am not going to make a generalization about the entire male population...just my boys) They are wimps!!!!! As soon as they let out one measly sneeze or cough they feel like they have to moan and groan, lay around, and just be plain old miserable. I tell you, my patience and sympathy are all but worn out on these two boys!!! I had to hold my 23lb. child for three days straight, while I myself was not quite feeling up to par. There were just a few other things that made this sick little man happy (as long as momma was right next to him) Playing Wii with daddy....calling grandma to see if mommy is doing all she can to make me feel betterPlaying choo choo trains and Cars with mommySleeping, cuddling, carrying, chewing, wrestling and singing with his puppyAnd we finally got our happy little man back today. He's still a little toasty, and snotty but much much happier!!!

Oh My Goodness!

I know I just did a post about my Lilly girl but seriously how could I not post these pictures. After looking at these pictures it dawned on me...she's going to be 4...Yikes!!! Well, not until June but still she is going to be 4 and she is going to be 14 and shoot she is going to be 20 too! I sure wish we could just keep the little people little, but she really is turning into a fabulous little girl, so I guess its alright.
She was thrilled with this dress when mom and dad brought it home for her from their "date day". It even has a matching dress for her baby! She has been into cupcakes since before Halloween...its kinda her thing.

Picnic at the Park

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and have a picnic in the park. We even got to watch the train go by 2 times. Lilly was ready to freak out about the train (like usual) until she saw how excited Barrett was about it.

Happy New Year!!!

Lilly is really into jumping off of things right now. You might not be able to see, but she is actually in mid-air in this picture. Love her face!
This kid could sit in his car all day long, doesn't matter if it's freezing outside.

On New Years eve we got a new kitchen table. We love it!!!

New Years day was the big game. Wisconsin played in the Rose Bowl so of course we had to get decked out in our Wisconsin Badger gear. I found an old shirt of mine for Lilly to wear...only needed some slight alterations :)
It sure as a close game but too bad for the Badgers...they lost. We still love them and enjoyed watching them all season. Just wish we could have watched Uncle Colby march in the Rose bowl parade...too bad he graduated last May.

My boys
Love my little family!!! My favorite people!!This is a much more realistic shot of us.
Then on Sunday our sweet little Lilly became a Sunbeam. No more nursery! She is such a big girl and she loved going to sharing time and singing all the fun primary songs. She has amazing teachers for Sunday school so I just know she is going to be learning a ton...so exciting!
We are excited for the new year and all that it will bring!!!
Happy 2011!!!
