Just call me Crafty Cassie

Ha Ha...well, I wouldn't go calling me that just yet, but I have had a little extra time on my hands since I am off work for a while. And I just love Easter and spring time colors. I recently found a book of paper at Michaels on clearance and picked it up not knowing what I would make with it. Then I made pennants for the Young Womens and love them...so I decided to make a pennant banner for Easter. I thought it turned out pretty good for not having all the fancy cutters and other scrapbooking stuff. I liked it so much that I made one for Lilly. I think we will keep it in her room, but for special days when we are celebrating something for Lilly I think we will bring it downstairs to show her how great she is. Anyway...here are the pics...I am pretty proud of myself.

Grass Update

Its been fun to watch these grow. In just a matter of a couple days we had some major grass. They have already had their first hair cut and it actually smelled just like cut grass...love it!!

FHE

Family home evening is not what its cracked up to be. At least in my mind. I have these grand ideas of us sitting around the table quietly listening and learning. HA HA!! Not with a 3 year old and 1 year old! So I set out to change that and make a fun game that I was sure would hold Lilly's attention. Well, it did for about 5 minutes and then it turned into a 3 ring circus. So much for trying...I laminated the game so hopefully it will last until my dreams of a successful family night come true.

Easter Grass

This year for Easter I have decided to grow our own Easter grass for our baskets. I just love the look of grass...its fresh and green and I think it smells good. So i planted a little grass in just about every container I have around the house. Here are some pictures of the first sprouts of grass popping up. It has also been a fun lesson for Lilly.

Choo Choo Trains

Barrett has a new passion and its anything that goes Choo Choo. He loves his trains so we went to Schnepf Farms just to ride the choo choo train. It was during his nap time so he wasn't as excited as I had hoped.

There were baby goats and these two little guys were real cowboys...i couldn't resist taking their picture.

We have had much warmer than normal temps this past week. So without hesitation we got out the play pool.
