Woo Hoo Lilly is TWO!!!

Hard to believe that it has been two years since we became parents. I've always been told to enjoy every little bit of every little stage because it goes by so fast and now I know it really does. I think I did a pretty good job of that this year. So from 1 year old to two...

we swam all summer, mommy and Lilly are little tan fishies...we survived a long plane ride and had a wonderful time in Hawaii...we were the hit of Halloween as Super Woman!!!...we got super attatched to a blankie and binkie...survived being pushed around at nursery...became the Little Momma to five baby dolls (she takes her job very seriously)...started doing sign language a lot and talking a little... had her 1st ear infection...mom dislocated her elbow...fell down the stair and made mom and dad so worried by limping for a week...threw lots of tantrums...spent some time in TIMEOUT...grew 6 INCHES of hair (seriously)...and grew up into the cutest little girl mom and dad could have ever dreamed of.

We love you Silly Lilly...you make our days brighter and our hearts happy.

Happy Birthday!!

So Fresh and So Clean...

Lilly is really into washing herself. Unfortunately she usually chooses to coat her entire body, face included with soap just as the last of the water runs down the drain. I caught her in the act yesterday and got it on video.

Just Dance!

Between Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, and now So You Think You Can Dance, Lilly is watching her fair share of singing and dancing on TV. Here are some of her moves once again. I just can't get enough of her.

I would love to have Lilly play an instrument one day but I am not sold on the drum yet.

More cute pics

No words, just pictures of the cutest girl in the world. (I am going to have to come up with a new phrase if this next baby is a girl or just make it plural I guess)

Gotta Have Friends

Here are some cute pictures of Lilly and her friends.

Brooklyn came to play this week while her mommy is resting and waiting for baby sister to come. Lilly was so excited to see her buddy.

She just couldn't take her eyes off of her.
Then we went to the park to feed the ducks with Shalie and her mom who is also getting ready for a baby sister to come. We got to see some baby ducks...they were so cute. They loved the tortillas we brought for them. We had a hard time convincing the girls not to throw in the whole tortilla.

Big News!!!

A few more weeks and Lilly will be two. She is such a "little girl" now and loves to be mommy's helper. She loves to take care of her baby dolls and that's a good thing cuz she's gonna be a big sister!!! WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!!! Coming in November, just in time for Thanksgiving. We will have so much to be thankful for. We will continue to update on the blog as we progress through this pregnancy. As for right now everything is going well. I am 13 weeks along and feeling nauseous all day and mostly at night. Looking forward to that going away so I can cook for my family again. Otherwise everything is great and we are just so excited to see Lilly in her new role as BIG SIS!!!

Our Little Traveler

After that last post showing just how up and down Lilly can be you can probably see my hesitation in driving 12 hours to Amarillo. But...we did it! Lilly was awesome, no fits, no crying. She is a super traveler (she gets that from her dad's side of the fam) We had a good time with Jon's parents while in Texas and once again Lilly loved the dogs. Winston was her little buddy the whole time and I think they wore each other out. We went out to eat a lot, went to a cute little free Zoo and had a nice mother's day.

Lilly being silly with mom's sunglasses.

This is what happens when mom is driving and Daddy is hanging with Lil. Messy hair, messy face. Eating a whole bag of cheesy doritos.

Your Hot then Your Cold...

So Lilly is just a few weeks from turning 2 and believe me she is going to give Terrible Two's a whole other meaning. Lately (mostly just before nap time or night time) she has these breakdowns where one minute she is happy and then come the tears. It is hard for us because we don't know what she wants, actually I don't think she even knows.
So anyway, I took some video to document what we have been going through, and remind myself that "its just a stage".

She fell asleep in my arms about 2 seconds after this.oh, it is just so sad :(
