Our Christmas Present

We got a new computer…hip hip hooray!!! And apparently it allows you to type your blog posts right on word. So I am just giving this a shot and seeing how it turns out. Another post about the rest of our Wisconsin trip is in the works…so stay tuned!

Barrett's 1st Birthday

We had Barrett's first birthday bash while in Wisconsin with all the uncles and grandma and gramps too. Grandma made super cute giant chocolate cupcakes with race cars on top. Uncle Colby and I decorated the party room. Lilly had a blast opening all of Barrett's presents. We weren't sure what Barrett would think about his cake, but after one little taste of that yummy frosting and he was hooked. CHOCOLATE!!! We know he won't remember anything from this birthday but the ceremonial messy eating of cake is just something you have to do on a first birthday.It was straight to the tubby after eating cake and when we emptied the water once the kids were bathed Grandma's tub had a ring of chocolate around it. He is such a fun little man, and we have enjoyed this last year watching him grow up. He makes my heart smile!!

Fastest Year Ever!!!

Barrett is almost one year old! I cannot believe it. What a cute and fun little guy we have been blessed with. I love my little family and I am so happy that I get the opportunity to raise a boy...so much different than a girl. He is the baby and will be for quite some time...maybe forever. For now we are feeling complete :)

More Halloween Pics

Little Monster

Our ward Trunk or Treat was last night. Lilly has been begging me to be the Cupcake that she saw two months ago in the pottery barn kids catalog (ya, not happening) We were lucky enough to find a "cupcake" costume at Marshalls so Lilly is Little Miss Cupcake. For Barrett's costume I knew I needed to use his best asset...his hair. So that narrowed it down to either Dracula or a punk rocker with a mowhawk. We went for Dracula and I am so glad we did...I needed a good laugh and after I got his face paint on and his hair slicked back I could not stop laughing. It is super hard to get one picture with both kids looking at the camera and smiling but we tried our best. Enjoy the photos, I am sure these ones will be cracking us up for years to come.

Some Good Walkin'

So last night around 6pm Lilly decided that whatever was in her stomach needed to come out. For three hours she was throwing up every 15 min. and is now fine. While mom and dad were running around trying to find a bucket, clean up puke, wipe up Lilly, change her clothes and disinfect ourselves and everything around...Barrett decided to walk. Once things calmed down a bit we were able to get some cute
videos of him trying out his new skills.

Hip Hip Hooray for Cooler Weather

We are loving the nice cool weather that we are finally getting around here. Trips to the playground are now a daily occurance. Barrett is getting pretty brave on the slides and loves diving down head first...yikes! Lilly is such a fashonista with her blue shades on...how did I end up with such a girly girl?
