September

What?! September is nearly half-way over!! I feel like I haven't blogged in a while and Lilly is sleeping in this morning so I have a quick minute.

Lilly: She is loving school. She always says "miss erin nice" or "miss erin funny" and they are loving her little personality at school as well. Both her teachers have told me that she is coming out of her shell and really being a fun little thing.I feel like I am an expert potty trainer, although I don't know how much of it was anything I did. She has not had one accident. She gets annoyed when we ask her if she needs to go potty, so I have stopped..I trust that if she needs to go she will. She still wears a pullup at night but with time I think she will grow out of that. It is so funny to see her cute little bum in undies...we call her miss slim hips now.

Barrett: Is growing up way too fast. He loves to play with his sister. He walks around holding onto walls, furniture and has made his own "walkers" out of our chairs and will push them all over the place. He loves to play chef at our little pretend kitchen and bang pots and pans, open and close the oven. We moved our playhouse inside for the end of summer and he will go and just play forever...he loves it and so does Lilly...so glad santa brought that last year. Barrett can also stand unassisted for about 5 seconds so walking should be coming within the next month or so. He is way more fascinated with the bathroom than Lilly ever was but I think that is because of all the time we spent in there with potty training. He loves unrolling toilet paper and trying to reach up and flush the toilet. He is a smart little man and already tries to use things for their intended purpose...for example, he will try and brush his hair or mommy's hair, he will hold any phone up to his neck/ear. His favorite toys are cars and balls. He can already throw really well, which his daddy is just loving. He will sit down and play "catch" with you for a long time. He loves to dance to anything...even his sister's lovely singing that we hear all the time around here. His dancing is a little suggestive in that its just a lot of pelvic action if you know what i mean, its hilarious! He is making all sorts of sounds these days, not sure if any of them are real words but hopefully that will come easier for him than it did for sister. He loves to wrestle with mom or dad or anything stuffed. He is just a fun kid and I can't believe how big he is getting. Sorry for the wordy post, but I felt like it had been a while since I updated about all the fun things b-man is doing.

Me: Well, life just couldn't get more busy for me right now. I am back to work every Tues. and Thursday, so no more running my errands on those days without the kids, bummer. I also got called at church to be the Young Womens 2nd Counselor and that has made every Sunday and Wednesday super busy too. I sure hope I can make it work and still be the mom and wife that my family is used to.

Jon: He has just been awesome supporting me with all of my stuff going on. He has really stepped up to the plate and taken on the Mr. Mom role really well. Taking the kids on errands to costco, feeding kids dinner before I get home from work and putting both kids to bed when I have mutual. What a man!

So that's what has been keeping us busy, not to mention we have all had the worst cold/flu for the last couple of weeks.

What a cute update! WAY TO BE POTTY TRAINED, LILLY!!! Such a relief, eh? My kids both wore (Keaton still does) pullups at bedtime for a while. It's so great that she loves school, too!
Barrett-what a fun little boy! I love all the fun things he's doing lately! You for sure need to post a video of him dancing! Sounds hysterical!
So exciting to be in YW! That is a lot of work, though. Quin is in the YM's presidency and it's starting to drive me crazy how demaning it is! He loves it, though, and I know it's such an important calling! Good luck balancing things-I'm sure you're doing great!
